ARC Service
A photogram captures the shadow of what was there. No camera, no lens — just an object, photosensitive paper, and light. Man Ray knew there was something unsettling about that process. iWrity ARC connects your cameraless-photography cozy mystery with the readers who will feel it too.

Photogram cozy mysteries are set in the world of cameraless photography — the art form in which objects are placed directly on photosensitive paper in a darkroom, exposed to light, and developed to reveal ghostly silhouette images. The technique was popularized by Man Ray as “rayographs” and by László Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus, but it remains very much alive in fine-art photography studios, university darkrooms, and contemporary experimental photography communities.
The close-knit world of the darkroom — its rituals, its red-light atmosphere, its community of practitioners who share chemistry and printing techniques — is a natural home for the cozy mystery format. iWrity connects your book with readers who are already drawn to art-world settings and who will recognize the craft details that bring this world to life.
iWrity's reader pool includes cozy mystery fans who have specifically sought out gallery, studio, and fine-art community settings. Your photogram mystery, set in darkrooms, Bauhaus-inspired workshops, or contemporary cameraless photography exhibitions, reaches readers who are already hungry for exactly this kind of world.
Photograms create images from shadows and absence. Objects placed on photosensitive paper leave ghostly silhouettes, traces of things that were there. That visual language gives your mystery built-in atmosphere and metaphorical depth that readers feel before they can articulate why.
Because iWrity targets matched readers, your reviews come from people who engaged with your book specifically because of its setting. They notice when you get the chemistry right, when the darkroom procedures ring true, and when the fine-art community dynamics feel authentic. That specificity makes their reviews persuasive to other buyers.
You don't need an email list or a social media following to run a successful ARC campaign. iWrity's reader base is your audience from day one, and both can grow together as your cameraless-photography sleuth uncovers the next body in the developer tray.
Cozy mystery readers are loyal, fast-finishing, and generous with reviews. Get your photogram mystery in front of the right audience — free to start, no credit card required.
Create Your Free AccountYes. Cozy mystery readers actively seek out unusual craft and art-world settings, and the photogram, the cameraless photography technique pioneered by Man Ray and László Moholy-Nagy, in which objects are placed directly on photosensitive paper to create ghostly silhouette images, is a setting that almost no mystery author has explored. Fine-art darkroom studios, photography workshops, and contemporary art galleries where photogramists show their work are intimate, eccentric communities: exactly the kind of place where cozy mysteries thrive.
iWrity's matching engine analyzes each reader's review history and stated genre preferences. Readers who have engaged with art-world cozy mysteries, darkroom and photography craft fiction, fine-art community narratives, and avant-garde art history are prioritized for your campaign. These readers already appreciate the tension between the democratic simplicity of the photogram process, anyone can do it with basic darkroom supplies, and the fine-art prestige attached to it through the Surrealist and Bauhaus traditions.
How many reviews you get depends on how many books you review on iWrity and how well your book matches readers in your genre. Cozy mystery readers finish books quickly and review with genuine enthusiasm. Photogram mysteries benefit from the curiosity factor: many readers encounter the process for the first time through the book and mention it explicitly in their reviews, which drives additional click-through from other buyers.
Every iWrity review is compliant by design. Readers disclose that they received a free advance copy, no star rating is requested or incentivized, and the platform is built to stay inside Amazon's current terms of service. Using iWrity carries none of the account risk that comes with grey-area review tactics.
