How we review author tools

iWrity is a review exchange for self-published authors. Our members ask us which tools to use for keyword research, formatting, covers and audiobooks, so we wrote these pages to answer that in one place.

What we check

• Current pricing, taken from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown at the bottom of each page.
• Which platforms it runs on, and whether there is a free plan or trial.
• What the tool does well for a KDP author, and where it falls short.
• Which cheaper or free options do the same job.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you buy through one, the vendor pays iWrity a commission and your price stays the same. Affiliate links carry a sponsored tag. A commission never decides whether a tool gets listed or how we describe it, and we list free tools with no commission next to paid ones.

What we leave out

We do not list services that sell reviews or break Amazon's review rules. If a tool changes its pricing or something on these pages is out of date, tell us through the chat button and we will fix it.
